DANIEL ANDRIANO HURRICANE SEASON CHORDS

We spoke with Dan about how he brought together this group of musicians and what it was like working with producer Jeff Rosenstock. I sent it to Jeff and then when I got out there we just worked it out. Maybe just like opening up for someone, doing something different. I was excited about that. Everyone was available when I wanted to get it done, which was great. He had the demos and most of the songs on the record sound really similar to the way I demoed them, but a couple of them I sent him with the intention of him kind of reworking. We were able to do a lot of cool stuff to keep a lot of the effects and the production of the record natural.

I kind of gave up on it, but two days before I left for the studio I wrote that guitar part, the weird chords in the intro. That was one that Jeff had a lot to do with. Like I said, it was a pop punk song and I had those high backing vocals in there and some weird breakdown. Do whatever you want. It worked well together. It was a good relationship. He sent it through a tape machine and then back to get that delay effect.

National and international bands will be featured as well, but above all, we hope to create lasting content for music fans everywhere.

Dan — That one just sort of happened. You want to know that. It was a song that I wrote very quickly. Sezson — That was actually the last song that I wrote for the record.

Bill — How did you go about assembling the musicians that played on Party Adjacent? We ended up obviously not doing hurrocane, but it sort of sounds like that repetitive sort of drum thing until the song completely changes. It worked well together.

Where did the idea for this song come from? Bill — Daniiel do you enjoy most about the sort of creative outlet that this project provides? That was one that Jeff had a lot to do with.

Like I said, it was a pop punk song and I had those high backing vocals in there and some weird breakdown. Then when we did get there I just appreciated, like I was saying before, his love for music and his love for working nonstop.

That song, when I wrote dahiel was pretty straightforward.

I thought it all of a sudden had this Johnny Marr, Smiths kind of feel. We just said what was on our minds. Having other people around that like being in the studio is very helpful too.

He had the demos and most of the songs on the record sound really similar to the way I demoed them, but a couple of them I sent him with the intention of him kind of reworking. So that was one I asked Jeff to just completely tear apart.

It can get kind of frustrating and days can get long in the studio, but dainel was great. An all British Emergency Room, which will be good.

Stoked to see Mr. Srason I had a hard time seeing the vision that he had for a part or something until we got it right and then I was really stoked on it.

Bill — After the current tour wraps up, what else do you have planned for this year with the Emergency Room? Entitled Party Danelthe album is much more of a collaborative, full-band effort than the first Emergency Room record. This really is real different. Do whatever you want. All three of those guys, they just want to swason music, like all day every day. Everything went really smoothly. Photo by Katie Hovland. Everyone was available when I wanted to get it done, which was great.

He sent me his latest solo record and I was totally blown away by it. I was excited about that. Danoel got excited about it and then I reworked those lyrics that I had sitting around into this completely new song. I love that record. What motivated you to write this one? I was seadon bummed at first because there was a couple things that I was having a hard time with.

Bill — When you go back and listen to Party Adjacentwhat aspects of it are you most pleased with? Basically I called Mike last summer and I was kind of going through a thing. For the most part I kept it pretty simple, but with this one I wanted it to be mostly full-band and then a couple songs fairly simple. We were able to adriano a lot of cool stuff to keep a lot of the effects and the production of the record natural.

It was a healthy relationship.
