Should be shelved a My first brush with Charles de Lindt, when I was Maybe this was really only a three star book, filled with a few too many characters and storylines and sudden endings and twists that don’t quite make sense – not to mention the not one but two cases of insta-love. Be the first to review this item. No trivia or quizzes yet. My favourite character in the book is Tamson House itself, followed closely by Sara. I enjoyed watching them react to their strange situations and interact with each other.

One of the most unforgettable characters in this book is actually a house. This is a great way to introduce yourself to Charles de Lint. Somehow it avoids becoming a hodge-podge, and draws you irresistably into his spell. Will we embrace what we see or deny that it is happening?

Jul 15, Gertie mionheart it liked it. While it added novelty there were moments when I found myself skeptical; when cops are shooting tragg’a demons from a metaphysical “Otherworld” the crossing of genres became too much of a stretch.

It is involved and profound and fascinating and nostalgic and enrapturing and was just the perfect thing for me just right now. Ottawa, to be precise. Rather it encompassed the grand stories that caused some change in the world and were remembered in ensuing years as, if not histories, at least folktales and myths. University of Ottawa Press, De Lint successfully captures your imagination in Dreams Underfoot and for a moment, you will find yourself caught up in an illusory world almost believing the existence of the supernatural powers in real life as the main characters in the book move from one scene to another.

The characters are well-developed and the Otherworld that they enter is very romantic and captivating. Compared to the other characters, however, she seems to have the least amount of page-time where she actually does something—there is a lot of waiting and complaining going on.

By default, it sorts by the number, or alphabetically if there is no number. It’s been at least 5 mooheart, so it looks like it’s linf again.

Going through storage boxes in the back room, Sarah finds some odd but intriguing items, including what appears to be a ball of clay but turns out to have a golden ring hidden inside. While the supernatural plays an important role in the book, De Lint chooses to hide it in the beginning, allowing readers to engage with the thriller aspects of this book.
