Let me know if it’s worth another chance and I might try to dive into it again. I really have no words to describe how truly gripping it was. Jul 25, S. People from various walks of life who enjoy good reads gave it at least one chance to be read and that one reading was more than enough to instantly make it one of their all time favourites. Umera Ahmed boldly called out to the daylight robbing. She showed us how their family grew, how they overcame the hurdles throughout, and how the next generation grew up to become. It presented a frightening side of our society, I was scared for myself.
Now the next generation story has begin. Refresh and try again. It has pulled me towards realizing what ”eternal life” in the ”hereafter” means, what ”Jannah” means! Another thing really troubling me is that it should have been explained why it was questionable for a non-Muslim to be allowed to touch and read the Arabic text of Qur’an to prevent the possibility of misleading the unaware reader because: Jun 05, Seher Alvi rated it did not like it. No trivia or quizzes yet. Saima, Thank you very much for reading the review and providing me your valuable feedback View all 11 comments.
Although Umera has clarified that the ” Turrap ka Patta ” elisode a symbolic representation of the ongoing challenges that man has to face all through his life, yet a normal reader needs a logical ending.
Aab-e-Hayyat by Umera Ahmed – Episode 4
Of all the trials and tribulations, of all the insecurities and concerns, there is always going to be one Savior, One and the Only and that would be ”Tawakkul ILallah”. W ” which became her identity.
Probably the best sequel of the best book. I simply loved it! What I did expect was another heart-wrenching, eye-opening story with some other social evil being tackled with.
Goodreads helps you keep track of books you want to read. He is the one who has to go with everything, because he has become Kamil. Aab-e-hayat was NOT perfection like its prequel. I loved that the love of Salar and Imama ahmes beyond everything, growing stronger every minute, though I would have liked to watch them getting there, talking more about the old days, reminiscing the circumstances that lead them together.
Having said all that, the novel is not without its merits. I loved the book: Imama and Salar have had their love story told, they are finally together and now they have to decide what kind of a life they are going to lead together.
But then… Then, the ending happened. The first episode served more as a teaser and was very promising bythe look of it. Get ready to read more about Salar and Imama’s life. I think it only created hype but couldn’t unfold in that manner. What change would you wish to have in this story, if any? The book version has so many parts missing!!!
How come both the sons were very affected by Islam and end up being practicing Muslims and the daughters were not so? I am delighted you liked my point of view in this regard. I cherish you dearly!
It is ahmrd in a very fine reading quality to make it easy to read. Aab-e-Hayat episode 4 is now available to read. She can seek refuge from her family with strangers for freedom of religion but she cannot help Salar in dpisode biggest venture of his life more than giving him advice and looking after his family like she can have no role besides being a housewife. In short the novel is full waste of time unlike the other novels of Umera Ahmed.
آبِ حیات (Aab-e-Hayat) (Peer-e-Kamil, #2) by Umera Ahmed
The courtship is sweet but the jealousy is just not cutting it, it was just a bit over the line. I summarise it by saying that Aab e Hayat, to me worked as a half-roasted delight Jun 21, Natasha rated it it was ok.
We all also know of the Hadith where Episoed sister asked him to make Wudu before reading the reading the Quran when he was a non-Muslim and the opinion of certain scholars like Ibn Abideen Shami RA is that non-Muslims are obliged to perform a ritual bath for touching it. It obviously raised the bar of hopes more than hundred times.
It was very cool that Saad finally had his redemption after and through another generation. Although Umera was writing it in her very own style but still that one X-factor was seemingly found missing from the writing. Feb 06, Rizwan rated it liked it. Aab e Hayat has left several questions unanswered. I was quite hesitant in reading the sequel to peer e kamil, one of my favourite books, scared to ruin it but well I wasn’t disappointed.
And so it ends.
It is the Second last episode of Novel Aab-e-Hayyat. Niaz, Thank you so much for your most awaited feedback I wanted to hear the lovers talk, their whispers but, apparently that’s not the Pakistani Urdu novelist’s style.

Thank you for reading. People who try to judge who’s going to hell and who’s entitled to heaven, those who hurt others in the name of Islam and don’t get the essence of Islam beyond the idea of being allowed to have 4 wives. Books by Umera Ahmed. I love Peer e Kamil and thats one of the reasons I didnt want to read this sequel because I did not want it to spoil Peer e Kaamil for me.
